The heart of the home is often in the kitchen! Here we make lasting memories, cooking a meal for holiday gatherings, creating desserts with family members or standing around and having a conversation. Whether you are tinkering with the idea of remodeling a small or big portion of your kitchen, we can share some of the biggest kitchen trends of 2022 listed out to give some inspiration!
Open Shelves Are Out, Closed Cabinets Are Back In
Since the pandemic, more people have been at home hanging out or working. With more time at home, open shelves start to seem more cluttered and don’t work, especially when it comes to storage. Homeworkers are craving spaces that are functional while still looking good.
Quartz, Granite, & Marble
Kitchens are veering away from the plain white and homeowners are looking to more bold stone selections like quartz and granite countertops. These materials are also finding their way on backsplashes as well.
Black Accents & Blended Finishes
Black gives a sleek, modern look so we expect to see more black window frames, doors, hardware and faucets. It offers more depth and gives a cleaner look. Often the black finish is blended with muted gold or other brushed metal finishes.
More Color
While white will always stay a classic, many are looking to add a bit of color to their kitchen scheme. Some ways to add more color to your kitchen without going overboard is by adding to backsplashes or appliances. Natural colors such as greens, beiges and greys, are the most common since everyone is still craving more nature since the pandemic has started.
Inspiration From Nature
Expect to see more plants inside the home. While everyone is staying inside more, we are still craving the outdoors. The simple fix is to bring more nature-inspired touches inside the home. This can range from wood finishes, more uses of stone or adding more natural light to the space.
From start to finish, Watters Plumbing handled our project very professionally. Thor did an excellent job installing our fixture. We were impressed with attention to detail and the cleanliness of the job site.
